Lockdown from Around the World

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted every corner of this earth and with that, everyone who lives here. We’re all missing loved ones, many of us aren’t working right, some have been made unemployed and we are all scared for the lives of our loved ones. In a time when we are constantly hearing the phrase ‘we’re all in this together’ I wanted to set out to find just how true that is.

In this blog post I contacted Bloggers, Instagrammers and Friends from all over the globe to get an image of what life is like in Lockdown from all Around the World. I initially set out thinking i’d get maybe 5 people interested and that would be it. I ended up getting responses from over 30 people from 20 different countries around the world. I want to say a huge thank you to every single person who got back to me for this blog post! It has been so much fun meeting (via internet) new faces, and reading all about how your lives have changed as a result of the Global Pandemic.

I was then faced with a decision, do I put all these into one long post, or several small ones? I took to my Instagram, (Follow me!) to ask those who follow me which kind of blog post they prefer; Long Posts or Short Posts? Short Posts won the poll in my story, and thus this little blog post became a series.

Then came my next decision, how do I divide these up? Again I took to Instagram (Seriously, follow me!!) to ask my followers how they’d prefer travel posts to be organised; By Continent or Alphabetical Order. The results of this post was less of a landslide (Much like Britian voting on Brexit), However the majority did go for ‘By Continent’.

Thus, this blog series will be divided like this, with a new continent being posted everyday this week at 12 noon GMT, starting tomorrow (Monday 18th May 2020). I’d love you to stick around for the full week and experience Lockdown from Around the World!

Stay Safe, Stay Home
