Best Local/Independent Coffee Shops in Sunderland

Sunderland is quickly becoming a hub of local and independent businesses, with many serving incredible coffee. As someone who is a coffee lover, I really enjoy trying all the different cups from these incredibly places. Right now, with the world being the way it is, having a nice coffee is often the highlight of my day! So here is a list of my favourites, and the ones I am yet to try, most of which are open for takeout right now.

  • YOLO Coffee
Located at the Stack Seaburn, YOLO coffee has a great tasting coffee. However, their special hot chocolates are incredible. I cant decide which is better, their chocolate orange or cherry bakewell.

  • Flamingo Coffee Seaham
It was fairly recently when this was finally tried, and I have no idea why we waited so long. The coffee is so good and the view wasn’t half bad. I can’t wait to visit in the summer under normal conditions, sitting outside with an iced latte!
