Not being able to go out for a nice date night with your significant other is one of the main things I miss about normal life. Eating a nice meal out with a few drinks, or a cinema date and just being out and having a laugh is one of the best things about being in a relationship.
Now we are stuck at home, trying to keep some normalcy (without killing your SO) is the challenge of the day. With Valentines day coming up and we will probably still be in lockdown, I thought we could all use some inspiration for what we can do. So here is my list of all the ways we can still have date night but at home;

Food Related
- Homemade Pizzas
- Cook the others favourite meal/ make a full 3 course meal
- Cook something new together
- Cook something from scratch, like pasta or a pie
- Order a takeaway
- Have a picky tea
- Make a charcuterie board
- Order an afternoon tea
- Put a blanket on the floor and have a DIY picnic
- Bake cakes together and see whos are decorated better
- Order from your favourite local restaurant

Date Activities
- Get up early and watch the sunrise from the beach or somewhere high up (or the sunset if you like a lie in)
- Movie marathon
- List a load of films you want to see (such as IMDB top 100) and go down the list
- Binge a series together
- Go for a long walk
- Rent a hot tub for your garden
- Board game night/ Console gaming night
- Camp out in the garden (or in a bedroom as its currently freezing)
- Flick through old photos
- Watch the football together (or any sport)
- If its a clear night, go stargaze
- Create a home spa
- Watch live theatre/concert and pretend you’re there
- Virtually visit a museum or zoo
- Build a fort!

Drinking Activities
- Beer pong
- Drinking Games
- DIY cocktail night
- Turn your front room into a nightclub. Turn the lights off, the music up, dance and get drunk
- Wine/beer tasting night
With all of these, they are what you make them, so go overboard and i’m sure you will have a great time. Let me know if you try any of these, or if you have any suggestions!
