Living in or near Sunderland City Centre during lockdown must be incredibly difficult. But here are a list of places nearby to go for daily walks.

These 5 places are my absolute favourite places to visit for daily walks in Sunderland.
The windmills at Whitburn and Cleadon are huge parts of Sunderland’s heritage. Walking between the two is a really great walk.
One of the assets of our city is its incredible coastline. We are lucky enough to have many beaches along the beautiful North Sea coast.
This city has a great number of parks, all of which will make perfect places for daily walks and are packed full of history.
The Seven Sisters at Copt Hill in Houghton is a surreal place. There is an incredible amount of History in the area, and it makes a great place to visit.
Hetton Lyons Country Park is a really great place to visit for a daily walk. It will make for a great spot to visit in the summer.
Ryhope beach and cliffs are often forgotten about and disregarded, however it is one of my favourite places to visit.
